I'm pretty much a dummy on modifications.  I did a muffler mod on my 338XPT & am very pleased with the performance. It is now loud & Proud!  It generally will cough on the 3rn or 4th pull & if I am quick with the trigger it will take off on the same pull as the cough.  I haven't been using the purge bubble except on refills.  Holmen Trees didn't mention any thing about any changes other than the muffler mod & using .325 chain with a narrow kerf that I recall.  I have a lot of respect for him.
