What did you use for the  fitting under exhaust to plug it up?  Remove it and plug or another line on fitting and plug?

How did it pull over with plug installed and no decomp?

It started fine without the decomp. I don't remember what I plugged it with though.

There are OEM parts for that purpose, listed in the IPL dated 2006-09 and later .The 339xp New Edition came without the auto decomp, but with those parts installed. The parts that is needed are 503 55 22-01 and 537 18 00-01.
