Maybe a dumb question, but should the alien screw that holds the pump in place be tight or just a little lose?

Nice pics. Looks like its pumping enough oil. I would say the allen screw needs to be tight. Why do you ask?

I asked because I noticed it was a little loose when I replaced the plastic pinion - so I made it tight ... I just went checked over the bar oil holes again, and they are not clogged.

Yes it does look like plenty of oil, now if it would only go where it is supposed to!  :)

There is a rubber cup coming out of the oil tank. The oiler must line up in it when set in place. The rubber cub on the outside must line up on top when everything is done and closed up.

Check to make sure the rubber cup coming out of the oil tank is not pinched and not all the way out.

Remove oil pump etc to see this clearly.
