Use a 372 Husky intake clamp after trimming up the plastic clamp or a Poulan 330 clamp which I used last time I did one.  Never tried a generic clamp but I did think about that on the last one, but I had none on hand.

The 2077 clamp is to tight to start with but will work. The other 2 are easier to slide on from the get go and the PP330 clamp was the easiest JMO.

I did my OE 346 and it didnt need it. I just couldnt stand the thought of burning up my ported topend because of a warped ill fitting plastic clamp if it decided to go south while out cutting. Better safe then sorry IMO. I'm guessing 30mins to pull topend and do fix.
