Last evening, I took the spark plug out.
Turned saw upside down, some mix did drip out.
Left it that way all night.
This morning re-installed plug.
Pulled choke out.
Pulled and it popped real nice.
Pushed choke back in.
Nothing, 8 pulls and nothing.

Yep, I've had to replace the fuel line every 3 years since 2001.

But looks like a flooding issue with the one. Still probably needs a fuel line though. ;)

Thanks man! Been meaning to get signed up here.

Can't get the quote thing to work. Maybe I'm just too new?

No work!

It just takes me to the bottom of this page, but no box to out message in?

You can go ahead and clean up this thread. It'll probably start working soon.

Yeah, I can do this.

Using Firefox on puter. Not smart enough for a smart phone. ;)

Thanks, I'll figure it out.

I'm using firefox and no smart phone here either.  I always ask for the dumb phones when getting new.

I had to "bite the bullet" and took the 346xp to a more qualified mechanic than myself.
Found him on CL.  He is only a mile or so away from me.
Does a bit of dirt track racing and fixes cars/trucks/yard/lawn equipment on the side.
Figured I would give him a try.  What is the worst that could happen?... do not answer that!

He got it running.  Only part he changed was the spark plug, but he said that was not really necessary.
I should keep the old plug as a backup.
He checked the fuel lines.  Said they were good and clean.
He said that he "cleaned" the flywheel area and "cleaned" the clutch area and cleaned the air filter.
He said that the carb was a "gummed up", but I can tell he never removed the carb from the unit, so not sure what he might have done
to un-gum it.  Carb cleaner spray maybe, DNK.

Anyway he got it running and charged me a reasonable price.
I brought it home and re-adjusted the carb settings and it is running good.

If I had taken it to our local  Stihl/Husky dealer it would have been gone for at least 2-weeks.
I took a broken 28" chain to them 8 days ago to be put back together and I still have not heard from them.

We now return you to your normal channel.

Just caught the tail end of this but I had a similar problem with a 346 but mine would run at only about 8000 rpm.
I even called a trusted mechanic and got him to listen to it over the phone, it worked well on the phone.
I looked at it later and noticed the only difference was the mesh air filter was off because I wanted to be able to see the carb adjuster screws and tell which one was which in case I was told to move a high or low jet.
I could see the mesh had some fines in it but no big deal, so I soaked the whole mesh with a carb cleaner and made it perfectly clean.
Hasn't been a problem since....
