350
« on: August 27, 2014, 08:34:29 pm »
Looking for the part number for the oil pump driver. To run a rim sprocket set up have the drum and bearing. A 346 oil pump driver will not work the crank shaft is smaller on the 350. Have looked around at some parts list to no avail.

#503 89 21 02 oil pump drive gear

http://www.baileysonline.com/Chainsaw-Parts/Chainsaw-Parts/Rim-Drums/Husqvarna/Oregon-Power-Mate-Rim-Drum-for-325-x-7-Husqvarna-Jonsered-345-346-350-351-353.axd

Google search brought up this conversion drum from Bailey's. The oil pump part number is from middle of the description.

The only other worm listed is the 503 93 18 01

I don't own a 350 anymore but my 346XP has the big rim 7 tooth regular 3/8" And uses the original worm gear that was for the small rim.

I left the spur type drum on my 350 and never changed it.

The original worm IIRC is driven by the ends of the spur teeth. There's a imprint in the end of the nylon gear.

The gear number quoted in the Bailey's link is the same as the number for a 350 with a spur sprocket in the Husqvarna IPL.

My 346 gear is driven by the end of the rim drive teeth of the clutch bell?

When I changed my 346 to use a 357XP clutch bell with the bigger rim, the rim drive teeth on the bell are larger in diameter but the 346XP seems to oil just fine.

The 357XP uses  . . .

503 91 27-02 (.325x7)
503 91 29-02 ( 3/8"x7)

I think this is because of the larger diameter of the rim drive teeth for the larger rim

There is a difference in the drum teeth from a spur sproket to a rim sprocket. Have the 346 oil driver and drum. It will not match up to run  with the 350 oil driver. The rim kit above looks to have the right teeth to drive the oil driver that is on the 350. Will have to give it a try and see what happens.

The IPL for the 350 and the 346XP new edition both list this as the only number for the gear for the spur and rim bells . . .   #503 89 21-02
