The TSC between Kevin and I still carries the homeowner Huskies and the Wild Things.

I'm using a late model 346-353 muffler support cutting off the right hand bolt hole to give additional support.  PN: 544-8098-01.  Don't know if it will help solve the problem but it should help keep the muffler off of the oil tank.

I cut a couple tree's up this morning. (TSC had a filter.) Runs good. I've been using a jred 490 for the past couple weeks. Powerwise they feel about the same. I have .325 full chisel Stihl chain on the 350 and 3\8 square ground on my 490. I'm trying to get away from .325 chain all together but this 350 has a like new .325 spur sprocket. :-\ Not bad for $50 and a coil & filter. ;).

Nope not bad for $50 invested.

My 490 that is like new dont like 3/8. Maybe it hasnt been ran enough to be broken in yet, who knows but right now 325 is what she gets till it comes alive like my 5000's.

I'm cutting tree tops so i suppose the .325 is the best option for that application.  :D

Just ran a like new NE 346xp 50cc with 325 7T and 350 52cc spur gear guessing 7? with 325 also. The 346 blue coil rev limited 14.1k and 350 rev limited 13k.

There is no comparison IMO between the 2 saws. The 346xp flat smokes the 350 in the cut.

Thanks for bringing the saws to test and run.  8)

Do you think the 346 is the fastest stock 50cc saw?

The 350 is a nice 3 cube saw - But, the fact is, the 346 OE or NE just has a lot of power for its size.

The 350 was so much nicer than any of the other saws I had before, I thought it was the greatest saw ever. But then I got a 346.

I'll be using them together.
