365 help needed
« on: June 11, 2014, 07:40:39 pm »
Have a 365 here that starts in 3 pulls. Idles but alittle rough. Will not accelerate but bogs without stalling. New plug, impulse line ok. Changed carb, no change. Saw runs the same with impulse line off. Getting a good pulse thru line. Any ideas?

Agreed with fuel line, filter, vent. Could be a faulty ignition module.

Line and filter are fine, saw runs the same on a test line in a bottle of gas. Was thinking of a coil swap and checking the flywheel next.

Maybe before you swap the coils check your coil gap, just to make sure all is well there.

Might be coil related.

yeah I'd change out the coil.
also, I wouldn't be running that saw longer than a couple minutes without the top. you can over heat them badly even just idling.

Where is the carb set h/l should be starting tune at 1 turn out each. Your getting good pulse, have you installed a diaphragm kit in the carb yet? Coil gap should be a business card.

The only two things left are ignition and carb, ignition is easy two bolts, carbs are a PITA! Do you have another coil to swap? Where are you I have one you can borrow to test.

Is this an issue that developed after a period of trouble free use? Or is it a rebuild?
