I am pretty sure it wasn't a Zama, but I am headed to dads now to see what it was.

I was just throwing the zama info out there.  Because I think guys are getting to tied up on the biggest carb they can use for a work saw to get the quickest cut times. Like putting the x-torq 365 372 carbs on a 372 work saw.

My  fasted cookie cutter 372 in the ported 372 video thread was a HD12.  True that the other carb option wasnt available then. But for a work saw I dont see the needed bigger XT carbs unless going for cut times.

It's JMO and like Mike said while we were talking about beer.  "That's why they make chocolate.................and vanilla". ~Ted Peterman -1995

All in the choices one makes for themselves.  ;)

Yes that 372 that you had in the video still had the stock bore in the carb. I see no reason to make the carb bore larger on a 372 woods saw, unless you want the fast cookie cutter.

Have anyone actually measured the venturi of a HD-6 carb?

I have had a hunch for some time that the specs on the Walbro site may be a mistake or misprint, as it really doesn't make sense that the non-EPA carb has a smaller venturi than the EPA one.  ???

have the HD-6 in mine hands here, will see what the size of the venturi is,

BTW... i found something i think, the rubber of the choke-handle looks to be worn and should let air escape  ::)

Almost sounds like an ignition limiter.  I noticed the black coil but you never know unless you swap it out.

Anyone ever tried one of these Tillotson carbs:

The Walbro HD-12 in North America has a 17.46mm venturi which is 1mm larger than the Tillotson HE-18A
