OK, so what did you get? Any pictures?

Now to the mods, they run great with the BBK and the 064. You will have to mess with the piston a bit to get it to fit. You will have to take a little metal off the inside faces of the piston pin boss on the 064 piston and make sure the skirt has enough clearance at the crank throws. A MM is a necessity. My suggestion would be to put it together without porting, run it then if you see areas of opportunity then port it. You may also want to change the intake setup so you can run the much larger Walbro/Tillotson RWJ-4 carb off the 372XT. Thr RWJ-4 is a standard carb, no divided strato stuff on this model.

I should have it tomorrow.  Its 75cc, but yes I plan on some mods!  I'm not really a full wrap guy so I plan to swap that out at some point.  It looked pretty clean, will see what if i did good or not.

I notice that it still has the S# tag, you might want to check out the manufacture date if it is a real 372XPW from 2007, 8 or 9 and still runs, you could flip it easily. Those saws are sought after and are pretty rare in the Eastern US, collectors are after me all the time to keep on the lookout for them. If it is those years and does need a top end I would put another OEM on it to preserve that it is original.

Looking at the pictures it appears that it is missing the inner felling dog, we also know that it is not the XT because of the side decomp valve. The original 372XPW saws were not marked "XPW" on the starter only said 372XP IIRC.

Not sure how to check out the numbers.  Zoomed in the best I can without it getting too blury the black serial tag says:
Husqvarna 372xpw
965 74 03-00
  07 1300710

I thought the 07 meant 2007?  Seller did state that is said 75cc on the top cover sticker, that could of been swapped out, but It looks like it belongs on the saw.  It was listed as a buy it now, so someone wasn't trying to get top dollar for it.

Hastle free returns, I didn't think i could get burned too bad.  Seller had good feed back, stated runs great, we shall see.

I agree, 2007! If it runs good clean it up real good and sell it! The last one I sold was a low hour 2006 and I got $750 out of it, it looked like new!

Where did the saw come from? PNW by any chance? Say perhaps North OR or SO WA, if it came from who I think it did look out! Have a look at this thread

I looked fairly clean for an 07, after looking at a bunch of part projects bring pretty good money (other than the deal kevin posted) I couldn't believe it, had 8 people watching it, why would you watch a buy it now at a good price?  Anyone close to central missouri have a 20" bar I can borrow?  I failed to see the ships in 7 to 10 days for the bar on clearance at baileys, so not sure I will cut anything this weekend with it.

Found the closed listing on feebay, not the guy I was thinking of, so you are cool there. If you are going to keep it send it off to the chimp with a gun, you will like what you get back. At retail the jug and piston are worth almost what you paid for the saw! Nice score!

He didn't seem like a saw horse trader.  I felt pretty good about it, really was surprised it was still there, I hope it turns out good.

The saw has a 51.4mm bore and an odd sized piston. The only place to get the rings is Husqvarna. Ring part # is 503 28 90-39 you need 2 and they cost $14.91 each!

This is my first husqvarna, so I got a lot to learn.  So far, I'm not real impressed with what I think is the closest dealer, I got some more looking around to do.
