All 3 kits very clearly cast and finished different.  Different pistons, different rings, different castings, different pin clips, different linings etc.  And all 3 were sent to us for testing from different suppliers direct from their different overseas factories over the last 2 years.

The adequate cylinder had a nice NiSil lining.

You can see that the one in the ebay ad at least is chrome lined.

The first four all seem to be the same actual source.

The 5th is not what I'd buy even for a old style non Xtorq chainsaw.

Yea.. think you got the picture. There is more interesting data out there. But if I found it others can as well. For me? I have a source of OEM parts at a good price. Spike60. That's it. Huztl is about chits & grins. But for the saws that count? Why gamble, I stick with OEM. There, I said it.

This stuff is all smoke and mirrors with your choice of chrome or nikisil coating. And if you're lucky, that coating might actually stay on the cylinder.  :P

I agree.

But most local guys will not spring for oem because of  cost most times.

Some of them are getting the jonsered 2166 husky 365xt and 372 XT in their firewood fleet.  I know their not going to want to pay OEM prices for new p+c.  IF I cant save their oem topends. Even though I  charge 20%-25% labor rates the local shops charge.
Thats the reason for wanting to know more about the aftermarket offerings.

Thats why offer 3 different levels with 3 different prices. Most want redneck.
1. redneck fixed reusing fixable oem parts
2. aftermarket
3.OEM new

Yes I get it. I've just gone to your "red neck" and OEM options. I keep the AM stuff for my farm and to create video's with. To be honest I didn't do the video's with the best intention for the AM, was hoping for more drama with parts flying apart.... and the only fall out that actually occurred has nothing to do with performance or reliability. So I'll let them fade away over time. One already rides the closet and the other may quickly follow once my 365/372XPW (All OEM) blend gets finished.

The cylinders in those links don't look like the cylinders on my 365's or 372's? Open port? Bolt on intakes?
