do you have to use an xtorq piston of will a standard 372 piston work? I have a 2011 model 365 xtorq with screwed up head and piston. ive only ever honed out 1 cylinder before not sure if this one is saveable. now that I cleaned it up it looks like a possibility to save it but I can only find a 51mm hone on baileys and not a 50mm. any advice?
:-)
The 375BB kit is THE way to go! If you really want to make it go use a stihl 064 52mm piston in place of the BB piston. You will have to mess with base gaskets to get correct squish and remove some metal from inner PP bosses to fit the piston to the rod but the results are well worth it. Also you can use the XT carb and intake to get more fuel delivery.

Makes a very strong runner!

Ok so what is the difference between the X-torq  model and the regular 372.  I got lost there. Thanks

The X-Torq is a Strato Charged engine with a carb of which the top half is air only and the bottom half is air+fuel (it looks like a single big carb but there is a divider between the throttle shaft and the choke shaft)

Excuse me for being a dummy but the air only side exhausts the fired mix and then the gas/oil mixture goes in to be combusted? I'm curious because my local Husky dealer has a used one for  sale and I am kinda  interested in it. So which is the best model to look for? Thanks

You are correct on how they work.

You are probably better off with the newer design.

+1, EHP, do not use 50:1 run 32:1!
