4043 filler may work for filling small holes on a chainsaw case but the weld will be superficial. Az92a works well

I layed a weld with 4043 on the scrap 55, it broke right off.  Lol  I'll look into the place you posted.

Lol!  First time I bought the az92 filler the minimum was 5 lbs, kinda hard to swallow for occasional magnesium work.  The Tig Depot guy has some good "how to" vids. Knowledgeable guy

Just some pics, homemade welding filler from a scrap 55, that stuff does burn by itself,  theres one with cats on catnip for the hell of it.
