If it runs OK now, it is not hardware that is at fault.
It is likely a fuel thing I suspect.

well like I said it runs OK, idle could be a tad better but runs good enough
BUT the gas leaks out rather fast out of the cap, it bubbles out, can even hear air coming out, like its under pressue to the point of blowing passed the O ring
and I have tried new caps/o rings, still leaks
so I am guessing that the vent if not working causes [pressure to build enough to do this??
or? I guess it could be something else, thus why I posted here looking for help
it does Idle high after a cut throught say a telephone sized tree for a few seconds then comes back down, whne idling High it keeps teh chain rolling, but once it comes down its fine
again I believe that could also be caused by the colder air now, and the fact the tank isn't breathing and changing fuel air intake NO??

Did it run ok when you unscrew the cap and released pressure from the tank or did it run the same?

well to be honest I didn't try running it with the cap off or even open some, as again it ran more or less OK when cutting no boggs or issue;'s just when you let off the throttle after a cut it would rev a little longer but then come down in a short time period, so not a issue  really, just had to pay attention as the chain still spun till idle dropped down
my bigger worry/complaint is the gas leak, as if i put it down on a full tank in a short period of time it makes a puddle under it, and just smells up anyplace I store it if there is fuel in it!
plus a hot motor and leaking gas to me seems like a bad combo
so need to fix the gas leaking first and then will see about the idle
it idled fine in warmer temps, so could be temp related
so suggestions on best way to remove the breather beside above is still appreciated
will try to get time on Tuesday to fiddle with it, and order a new breather on Monday from local shop,

Sounds to me like t\you have two problems

ONE:  Your idle fuel mixture is too lean.

TWO:  Your fuel cap is leaking.

well the air fuel might be off now in the colder air, and NO its not the fuel cap, have tied 2 new one's and new O rings
its building pressure in the gas tank and even with the saw on its side it will bubble gas out the closed cap, and even make a air release sound when you open the cap
I also believe the pressure in the tank is causing possibly some idle issues too maybe, just maybe
but before I play with carb, I need to fix gas leak
I know the tank is not **** or damaged and again its not the cap
this is the second time this saw has had this problem, and last time, the breather was replaced and it solved the leaking so??
but last time a shop did it took the 3 months, and now I want to just try and looking for tips I guess

Here is a husqvarna service manual link so you can do a lot of reading and some troubleshooting hints.

Gasoline has a vapor pressure that varies according to it's temperature but is often in the range of 4-7 PSI.

Most tank vents have a duck bill rubber check valve inside them that lets air IN but will not let any air OUT

OK well, ?? that confuses me some, as like I said before I had same issue, and the shop SAID, have to take that word as I wasn't there, and the problem went away
they first tried a new cap, making it a third one as I bought two thinking that was the problem at first
 But any ways
after they replaced the breather , it stopped leaking so??
that again is why I am leaving that it is the source of the gas leak again
but again open to other idea's
