Why would starter pawls matter? I have never used them with bolt method to remove, is this what you do?

Loosen flywheel nut and put a punch in center of crank and give a whack. Most come off.

Also leave nut on covering the threads with nut half off and whack the nut. (WARNING I fubared the ends of threads ONCE like this still was usable though)

I have a 3 jaw mini puller that fits under flywheel even though they are super tight on back side.

Super stubborn ones I have learned to spray PB Blaster and let soak in around flywheel.

All I can think of for now.

There is some cheap cost husqvarna flywheel tools listed in this thread. I still need to pick both of them up just to have on hand.

Quick pic I borrowed. Looks like they may push out from back side of flywheel? Anyone know for sure?

Thats what it looks like to me. I tried tapping them out with a hammer and punch to no avail. I thought about heating the flywheel but havent tried it yet. The keyway is gone out of the flywheel so its no good to me. :(

You can use flywheel without the key way. Just line up and tighten down.  My 3120, 372 and another I cant think of used no keyway. just slid on and tightened to re-time.

People grind the molded keyways out of flywheels all the time.
