AM wrist pin bearing failure.
« on: December 26, 2014, 04:40:10 pm »
Has anyone had troubles with AM wrist pin bearings like this?  I found the damage before it trashed the whole cylinder of this ported 394.

Lame!  Did the needles fail or the cage?

Cage failed and a little bit escaped causing all the cylinder/piston damage.

The problem is the lack of quality control.

Also you buy the same part from the same seller but his sources may vary.

The aftermarket parts are never the same if you order them again.

Looks like it hurt... (that poor cylinder) with the cost of those bearings really low, why even entertain AM when OEM is available....
