Auto-tune or not
« on: December 09, 2013, 08:22:13 pm »
I have a friend who has a 576xp that was made in 2011 34th week. Does not appear to be an AT but I have not seen it up close. So, is there a way or something I could tell him to look at that would show it to be or not to be an AT? The reason I ask is that XP, EPA, and AT saws were made in 2011!

Are there holes / screws to adjust the carb?

No holes for a screwdriver is the quickest way to see.

Autotune system combined with these new initions is best system so far IMO.
If they would have it on a conventional engine it would be perfect!

Bigger problem IMO is the engine type.
I said it before and have not seen anything to change my opinion

Here's a pic of a 2009 576XP AutoTune I use to have.
Also another pic that  [I don't have a program to shrink under 400 to post here] so emailed to Kevin to post. In this pic if you zoom up close to the decal on the rewind housing you can see it has "AutoTune" printed in plain view.

First Autotune I have seen was put in 570/575's. I had a sneak peak in HVA factory.
There was one test run on 455/460 too I think..
One they tested on 357 too that never got out.
