I would get some semi skip for it and an 8 pin on a 28" bar. I've used one with full comp on a 30" and an 8 pin and it pulled it fine.

I'm a 7T guy myself.  Like all the torque I can get.  Dont own a 2100 though. But even used a 7T 3/8 on my 066's 660 084's too with longer bars.  Didnt need to but I did.

I've used 8 pins a lot but I know 7 pins give you more power than an 8 pin but I think my 2100 will pull an 8 pin with a 28" bar great but I dont know I might test them both  ;D

At 28" the 2100 won't care what pin is on it unless you go to a 9. With full comp chain I might stick with a 7 but full skip I would go 8. I run an 8 on my xpw with a 24" and full skip.
