Bar Length

What is your favorite bar length for a 50cc all around saw? 16-18 ? Does it really make much difference?

I've become to like the 16" for these and I have several examples.

I have one saw with a 18" and I get along OK with it though.

I like the large frame .325  or full size 3/8" for these.

I use them for limbing.

Bigger limbs or trunks, I get out a 60cc saw.

16 to 18 inches with .325 chain is typical. Depending on the saw, and the task(s) you are doing, bar length will affect balance and how it feels in your hands.

I like the total super bars for anything. Good long lasting bars.

I have mostly Oregon Power Match bars though some were originally Husqvarna or Dolmar.

I wouldn't turn down a Total Super Bar in a horse trade though.

I do have some Husky 365's and they are great saws. I generally run 20" on them.

20inch on a 346, works wonderfully, less reaching.
If the oilers were upgraded a 24 or 28 would be even better and I'm short.

16 on anything 50cc or less, been known to run a 14 on a 244.

20" is about the shortest I want to run on anything.
