Thanks Dan, I feel the same about goo in a tube. However that is what the customer wanted. Could not talk him into cutting the bottom of the jug. What I was really wondering about is how much change in the port timing leaving out the gasket would make.

I measured both an OEM and AM gasket and they are around .010, that added to the no gasket squish of .025 would make squish with gasket .030-.032 after gasket compression.

I have built quite a few of these but always cut the cylinder and used a gasket.
