buying new saw 543 questions
« on: December 04, 2014, 09:42:47 am »
Hello looking at buying a new saw from dealer. Or maybe farm store. Is there a better time to buy on now vs. After xmas. Looks like now $25.00 off for 550xp. I'm looking for 40ish.cc pro limping saw. Will there be deals aft. Christmas. Will it come with a case. Anything else I should ask

The 543 is 43 ish and the 545 is 50 ish

They are not related to each other and are made in different factories

Both run good but the 545 is more powerful, costs, and weighs more. The fuel mixture on the 545 is controlled by a computer.

545 autotune.  IMO that is a good price with b+c .  Can you say Merry Christmas to yourself.   ;) 8)

Make sure to follow start up and dial in instructions to get autotune set.

I wouldn't want a 20" as the main bar on a 50cc saw, as the balance will be bad, and destroy the nice handling of the saw.  ;)

Ya I'm thanking 18" max. Might be able to save a few bucks. That price is right in the dist. Catalog so maybe I'll try and haggle for a case.

545 is a very good saw & that's a good price. I'd want either a 16" or 18" bar on it myself.

Yep I would get a 16" and save the 20" for IF needed.
