Chainsaw Repair

This is discussed previously in a couple Husqvarna threads since the first of the year.

The main thing is you have to stick the one end of the linkage linkage with the lump down into the trigger area of the handle.

The other end of the linkage connects into the arm on the carburetor. You have to open the carb throttle arm to place the Zee bend into the carb. When you let go of the throttle arm the linkage cannot come out.

The trigger assembly pushes against the linkage to make it open the carburetor.

The carb has it's own return spring and the trigger assembly also has it's own return spring.

I can send you the parts diagram and repair manual if you want it but it doesn't explain this too well. You have to just look at the pictures?

My  455 somewhat different but with help on the video I got it sorted out.
I at first thought the throttle end of the rod went in a hole. it's kinda dark in there,
finally figured out it rested in a notch on the lever. There's a blue plastic "keeper" that's
supposed to secure it to the lever arm. It flopped between open and closed too easily so I
put a couple drops of epoxy on it when it was back together.

The 455 I have also has the blue keeper on the carb.  It is made to pull out a little then push up so the linkage can be removed when taking the carb off.
