craftsman pro series
« on: November 16, 2014, 10:35:56 am »
Maybe I'm just late to the show, or missed other posts. Is this new craftsman pro 38200 my 445 with a few cosmetic changes? [ like the nifty scwrench holder] Sears base price is more than a 445. Are the mechanics the same?

these are new in October. yellow and and blk. Does not look like a 5020.same body work as a 445. 45.7cc-2.6 hp. There is a new regular craftsman 45cc saw that does not look like the the 42cc poulan pro model.the 42cc [poulan pro] is still available.

Likely about the same as some of the newish McCulloch consumer saws (CS 450 Elite)?  Certainly not "Pro" saws!

I believe it is based on the 445, but is a cheapened verion of it?
