Just sharing some of the stuff he said.

I was under the impression that some minor port work had been done on these saws since they are claiming it's a 'hot rod'. I pulled the muffler off to take a look and it doesn't look like anything has been done. It looks completely stock, the base gasket is still intact as well. I was going to work on the muffler but decided to hold off for now. I put it back together and stuck it back in the box.

I think it was just rumor, I can't find anything published anywhere by Bailey's claiming it was hopped up any. Somebody posted that they seem to run stronger than stock on another forum. I guess I got caught up in the hype and believed what I wanted to believe.

It has the standard Husky air filter, same as my other 3.

That exhaust does look polished and belled quite a big .

The serial tag says it's a Husqvarna 372xpw.

You might be on to something, Al. When I fired it up the other day it did not seem sluggish and plugged up like most new saws these days. And I'm not sure how big the muffler outlet is on most new Huskys but this one seems larger than the outlet hole on the stock Stihl 460. I took the screen off for the picture.

brand new 1st tank univent against woods ported by Ed 20 tanks through it or so side by side .

I opened up this saw today just to look inside. I was thinking about grinding on the ports a little but my crappy little air grinder wouldn't fit into the ports and the hand file wasn't doing anything. Seemed a bit harder metal than the aftermarket big bore cylinder I put on the MS460 earlier this week. So I slapped it back together and made sure it still ran. No leftover parts and it fired up!

There was an ever so slight scuff mark on the intake side of the jug but it was smooth. I can only guess some debris was in the motor from the original manufacture. But it was smooth, no gouge whatsoever that I could see or feel.

Well guys, I've owned this saw a little over 2 years and just put it into production last week after crunching the handle on one of my other 372's. This is the only 372 I have in stock form and after about 7-8 tanks of fuel I've got to say it's just about equal to my ported saws. The 75cc cylinder and more aggressive factory porting are really nice. The only modification I've made is adding a muffler port and trimming the tabs on the carb so I can figure out where my starting point is when I adjust it. I worked today with a guy who had a brand new MS460 (a week old) and my 372 blew it away. I'm really glad I grabbed this saw when I did.
it's not as strong as the Dozer Dan 371 I sold you last winter. That one is still the fastest one I've ever run.

Thats all I can dig up Mike on the like new univent.
