From my understanding univent that started this thread has  a 50mm bore.  ???

If so, the top end must have been changed out, or it isn't one of those sold by Baileys? ???

What's this Molytech cylinder head the Univent features specifies?

Detachable cylinder head? ???

As I understand it, this one was NOT one of the Bailey's Univents.
It was given to the guy I bought it from by someone in his local volunteer fire department because it wouldn't run.
When I pulled the muffler, I found out why it wouldn't run.
It came with the original 16" .404 bar and the depth gauge and an 8 pin .404 rim! :o

It was (and still is) a 71cc XP and not the XPW.

this is probably nothing new to most of you guys, but i'll mention anyway...
to find cu. in. or cc the formula is: bore x bore x stroke x .7854 x number of cylinders.

Likely because 50 and 51.4 were the standards on the 372/375?   ;)

All the 52mm ones are aftermarket.

They might be on Husqvarna but they aren't on Stihl .

Really I can't fiquire why they would go with an odd ball size rather than straight  MM size --48-50-52 etc .

You mean like the Stihl 028 that is 44.8mm or something like that.
