They are still doing good cylinders. http://www.kspg.com/en/divisions/hardparts/ks-kolbenschmidt/

Gilardoni, Mahle was more Popular on Jonsered/Husqvarna. Kolbenshmidt made cylinders for Stihl and after market ones for those built here, but I don't think I have seen it on Husqvarna saws from here from factory.
Jonsered and Partner had KS cylinders from time to time.

All the non-decomp 262xp cylinders I have seen or heard of have been KS, and a lot of 254xp cylinders from the early 1990s as well.  ;)

Their "logo" is real easy to not notise, as it is quite discrete....

I could have missed it, but i have many of them here, hard to believe I have not noticed it.
How many have you actually seen?

At least halv a dozen (pictures on forums) + several statements, and my brothers early 262xp has a KS as well. Actually, I have never seen or heard of a non-decomp 262xp that didn't have a KS cylinder. Many consider those cylinders better than the later decomp Mahle ones, as they have a smaller combustion chamber.
What I doubt at this point, is the existense of 262 Gilardoni cylinders, as I have never seen a picture of one, or heard of one - but maybe you have one in your vast Collection?
