Did Husqvarna ever sell a plain 288....

......or were they all sold as 288xp? My latest purchase is labeled 288 on the serial tag but 288xp on the covers.

No sir. All 288s were XPs but not all husky XP saws have xp on the tag.

Wasnt there a 288 lite made.   Just looked it even had XP on decal.

There is a 288 Lite doesn't have spring AV on front.  That's the only diff that I know of besides starter decal.
