Hey, Kevin... I'm trying to develop an "ear" for tuning the high speed jet on my saws, but don't quite have it yet. I've been told to richen it up a bit so it "burbles" at WOT, then cleans up in the cut. I think I'm hearing the burble just before your saw goes into the wood (at 11, 15 and 18-19 seconds in the video). Is that it?

The 357 wasnt set up in the video with a burble that day.  This video shows the rich burble sound with cleaning up in the cut. This video was way rich.  Get a burble and then back off a hair and listen for the saw to clean up in the cut is how I like them.

OK, I think I hear it now. Is this rich enough that it's still burbling a bit in the cut, especially in the earlier cuts? I think I'm hearing it before the cut. I also think I hear it during the first bit of the first cut then it cleans up at about the 25 second mark. There are a couple of "blips" during that first cut at about the 27 or 28 second mark. Is that also a "burble", possibly from having it set too rich? One of my saws does that in the cut sometimes. I'm wondering if that's a sign I should lean it out a touch more.

Found another video just now. Husqvarna 357 test with ATOP square chain.

Uploaded on Jun 19, 2009

Tested ATOP square filed chain in 10"x10" very dry firm poplar cant that has been setting over a year. Saw used was 357 xp set very rich by ear and then checked with tach at 13.8K.

I like your 357xp! You still have it? Same saw in second video?  See the second one has a D handle.

Same saw.

Nope sold it to a friend after winning  GTG races with it for several years.  Then he sold it to a member and friend here.

I used the D-ring 460 rescue handles for cold start racing.  I used my woods ported saws to learn with till I got alky/nitro saws to race.

This one cleans up in the cut pretty good, noticeable to ear.
