Hard Starting Husky 545
« on: August 23, 2018, 07:47:32 pm »
I occasionally cut firewood with a 70+ year old friend of mine. He's been cutting firewood most of his life, including a few years doing it professionally in his youth. So he's no stranger to operating a chainsaw

He bought a Husky 545 about a year or so ago, and has always had issues starting it. It's often a dozen pulls to start when cold, and still not easy to start even after it has warmed up. I've only used one of the Husky auto-tune saws for about 5 minutes, so I don't know the trick to these.

Does anyone have any tips for easier starting? What is your normal start procedure for a saw like this?
