Help identifying Husqvarna chainsaw
« on: November 24, 2013, 11:52:56 am »
Hi I have this Husqvarna chainsaw im not sure of the model. It has a 266xp starter cover and a black husqvarna top cover. The serial # tag is missing and I'd like to know what model the saw is for certain. I found a # on the cylinder 5034479. On the opposite side of the cylinder there is the word "GILARDONI 1" poor lighting in shop so the word may be wrong.
Does anyone know if this is a 266xp or what it could be?
Thanks in advance

Went ahead and moved to husky thread, being we know its a husky.

I had a 66 with Gilardoni cylinder and seen 268 with them too.  Maybe just a 266 recoil on another saw?  Seems those interchange a bit.

I meant the redneck racing video. Thats the one I like.

Included a photo of the number from the under side of the top cover even though it could be off a lot of different model saws but may be a good clue lol The final pic is on the casing where the carb sits

I just searched the number off the flywheel and found an ebay ad for a flywheel

HUSQVARNA CHAINSAW FLYWHEEL #501 52 52 02 FOR MODELS 61,66 162,266
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HUSQVARNA-CHAINSAW-FLYWHEEL-501-52-52-02-MODELS-61-66-162-266-/160994824172
so maybe this narrows down my search

As I said elsewhere it is a "frankensaw", that most likely is a 66 with a 266xp starter cover.  ;)
