How do you read those #'s
« on: February 11, 2014, 12:48:59 pm »
Trying to figure out just what the numbers mean on my saw. I went to look for parts and they want to know when the saw was built. I'm guessing there is a place that explains how to read the numbers. I will give the #'s that are on the tag of the saw:

967  01  23 - 00
01   0802973.

Thanks in advance for all the help
Randy

I think 2001 eighth month, second week, 973 saw made that week. However HVA have over the years changed ID tag schemes several times and it becomes quite confusing. If I am wrong, SawTroll will be along to correct me.

The 01 is the year. The 08 is the week ad the other number is the  number of machine for the week.
