How do you tighten Husqvarna 240 E-Series X-Torq?

The chain on my Husqvarna 240 E-Series X-Torq is really loose and I need help with figuring out how to tighten the chain. Anybody know how?

Has the chain stretched to point where you can no longer tighten it with the existing chain tensioner?

It is stretched quite a bit. What ways could this be fixed?

If the chain is stretched so much that you can no longer tighten it with the chain tesioner, then you have to get the chain shortened one link?

Is this the original chain that has come on saw and has stretched to far for anymore adjustment?

Is the bar chain oiler working properly and chain being kept sharp. Running dull chain builds up heat and stretching.

Yes its got the original chain. I don't know if the tensioner will work or not because I don't know how to tighten it. Everything is fine, this is only the second time it's been used. I just need to know how to tighten the chain.

There should be two nuts on the right hand side of the saw that hold the cover and bar on.

Loosen these two nuts with the wrench that came with your chainsaw.

Then right behind the two nuts there is a recessed screw that you can turn to the right to tighten the bar and chain. Use the screw driver end of your wrench.

Raise up on the front of the bar when you do this. Just tighten the chain enough to where it is not sagging.

Then tighten the two nuts with the wrench.

Yours may have the tool less chain adjuster on it. If so, here is the manual and instructions
