                When you delete the base gasket you raise compression which in turn provides more torque.  Dirko is the best sealer to use or 1194.  You will have to check the clearance too (piston to head).  I doubt you will doing this though since you don't own it.  If he has the rubber clamped intake,  theres a good chance it will suck air and score the cylinder.  Very cheap insurance here.  Just my 2-cents.
