done the same way. but the wood is spruce. came from a rigging shack from an amonium nitrate/ nitric acid plant dad and i were working at. the shack became my old shop. :) it's just threaded rod, washers and nuts holding the wood together. every once in a while i need to retighten the bolts and tap the wood back down flat  :D
when I grow up, i wanna be an adult.
