Chainsaw Repair

Greetings!
Found forum via Bing. Hope I'm not violating any forum rules. Checked past posts but didn't see anything
 associated with my problem. Lent my Husky 455 to my son, he apparently failed to tighten chain after
it wore and it came off the bar. He pulled the cover off without releasing the brake. now the cover is off and
brake is on. Don't know how to release it to get cover back on. Nothing appears to be broken but can't get
cover on till I release brake. Any help will be appreciated.

It mainly is a matter of using the gray matter inside your scull, but it took me halv an hour and a couple of beers back in 2003, when I had this issue on my then new 353...
