I was thinking all the 346XP style stuff would work?

I know this is not a '50' specific question, but after seeing your pictures of that fine looking '50' I had to dig mine out! Mine runs good till you tip it to the right side and it looses RPM. Just replace carb? What is the difference between a special and not? mine is not a special.

Check the pick up tube in the tank, also the breather on that series of saws can be marginal at best after years of use. Had to replace the breather on my 55 last week. Huge improvement

50 is 44mm, 50 Special is 45mm same as Husky 51.

Very under rated little saw I'm building an older model white top with an egay big bore kit and a carb off later husky 350 it runs strong with that combo. you need to grind out the case to fit that cyl to the early case white top 50 I think there a straight bolt on swap on the later grey top.   Some pics of the hda carb before I remade the linkage
