Easiest thing is to just drain the oil back into the tank when done cutting. I use those paper, throw away funnels from gas stations for this.

I also line my cases with oil absorbent pads (e.g. https://www.newpig.com/oil-only-absorbent-mats-pads/c/5002), but that oil gets thrown out.

Otherwise, you need to track the source of the leak: case, oiler, . . . .

Never leaked until I used it for 2 hrs of cutting. I was wnding could be the pump or the pickup tube?
I want too fix it right. I am going to selling as soon as I get  the oil leak issue is resolved. The person who wants it is picky. This 51 is VERY CLEAN.
Leaks right out of the oiling hole for the bar.

Thanks
Jason

Check and see if the vent is blocked ?  I cant remember if there is one on the bar mount area or not.

The vent is good.Could it be the oil pump?

You can look around for a leak,it may have one,but the nature of saws is they will usually leave a puddle of oil where they sat...
Jonsered once made a hand-out sheet for customers explaining that some leakage was normal and not a warranty issue.
