I had a chance to trade my 288XP for a 575Xp.

I think I will keep my 288XP.



Good decision.  Mike and Bob hit it on the head.  The 575/576 is a newer model than the 288, but it's a 'transitional' saw and will be an orphan whenever the 572AT (or whatever it ends up being called) is released.  Parts will be available for the mighty 288XP for a long time to come.   I doubt I'll ever own a 575/576 (I have ran a few), but I'll probably be buried with my 288XP (and it doesn't sit around on a shelf just waiting for the next GTG). 8)
