3rd tank of fuel down and still running like a champ :)

Any idea where your tune is?  If limiters still on and you dont know.

Pull the plug and least look at it.  Have a spark plug reading thread in how to's area.

Looks pretty good to me.  Maybe could be a little richer but this doesn't look bad.  Not quite grey, with a little tan.

In my sports car days we'd say this was a tad lean as we preferred our plugs to be more tan in color but I wouldn't worry too much with one that's slightly grey.

Of course, without removing the limitters I can't richen it up but for now I think it will hold up.

Happy to report the saw got a real workout this week bucking logs and trimming branches and never skipped a beat :)

Seems the rebuild was a success! :D

Thought I would post this :)  One of my helpers was a faller on my last milling job and he used the 576 all week.  It ran like a champ and started no problem even in 18F weather.  Just kept on running :)

and the saga continues.....months after rebuilding and using the saw it stopped on a job site the other day.  Hmmmm I thought, out of fuel.  I fueled it up and it wouldn't start.  Got it home and tried again and it fired up but did not want to idle once I kicked it down.  It will run on high idle but not low.

Thoughts?

OK, pulled the plug and I think it looked good.  Perhaps a little rich but certainly not lean.  Then I pulled the muffler and much to my dismay I found a lot of scoring.  Not as bad as the last time I pulled it and rebuilt the chainsaw but still, sheesh!  What gives?

It still runs and even idles once warmed up a little and starts practically right away....not sure what the issue is.  I will post a vid of it running shortly.
