In this situation, I would remove the bar and run the saw and see if oil is coming from the slot where the bat mount is. If you have oil, I would start looking at the bar.

On the bar you need to clean all wood debris from the slot all around the bar. Then make sure the oil holes on each side of the bar a clear of dirt and wood chips.

Run the saw with oil in the tank and the bar installed. You are looking for oil to spray off the end of the chain when you rev the saw.
