Also going to try something new when I do this one. Mufflers tend to rust from heat and condensation. The muffler is not really a problem but the socket head looong metric allen screws that Husqvarna uses tend to accumulate rust in the socket heads. Sometimes to the point that the internal heads will no longer provide enough purchase for the tools to reliably remove the bolts.

I have some new Husky bolts for the 261/262 mufflers that I measured and found that McMaster/Carr carries the same size screw in stainless steel. Not cheap but cheap enough when compared to messing about trying to get stripped head bolts out.

I routinely use a little never-seize on the threads to keep away corrosion.
