I believe that if you look closely at this picture you will see that the way the mod is done would require 1) a  flat outlet and one whose mounting holes correspond to the spacing of the muffler bolts. Which would probably be the 288 outlet but from Spike60s' picture it looks like the 288 version is turned down on the right edge and 262 is flat but has those teeth which I suppose could be ground off. 2
