I would say a little of both, and that is a good healthy compression jump too.

261 was a deturned 262 for home owners, the dish dropped the C/R a bit. I am doing one right now 261 with the piston out of a 365 special. More compression height and slab sided instead of windowed. Have done many of what you just completed, turns a home owner saw into a gooooooood runner.

Look at the muffler on the 261, remove the front bracket which should have a little vent in the front of it. Behind that a screen and then the front of the muff which has a little hole (half inch or so). The 262 muff is completely open behind the bracket and it has a vent on the side. You can use the 262 muff on the 261 and then use the bracket and screen off the 261 and viola instant dual port muff!
