Man of Stihl, Have you made any progress with the 288xp yet?
Yes. I cleaned up the piston. Put a new ring in it. It has lots of compression. 150psi (with decomp pushed in) too hard to get a good reading with it out. Fires up and seems to run good. Also bought a new muffler. I'm still waiting for the washer that goes behind the oiler gear. Its on back order. I also need a kill switch, choke nob and clutch cover yet.
