Thought I had ask about ideas for the v stack on a 3120 about 4 weeks ago. Maybe I forgot here and only did in group.

(((((Fitting velocity stack on a 3120? Local and me been trying to come up with something for his saw, but just cant figure out a way since the way their air filter base is made.
So looking for ideas from the brain trust we have here.))))))

Here is where he is at with the 3120 v stack this weekend.

Looks good

Was the first try rough fitting.  He has a better idea now after the first one shown. But real close to the same just different plate etc.  Also will need a bracket for cable.

Husqvarna 3120 in for tuning last night, had just been woods ported for a local.
44" 404 in dry ash log. Toward the middle of log near bottom almost had it buried. Video loading is at very beginning of log so only about 32+ then. H side carb, unlimited coil and has been woods ported too.

IMO 404 could have used a touch up but wasnt doing it as it came in alittle after 7pm. So on with the H side tuning with unlimited coil we went.

Saw was turning 14K when it came here and I turned it down to 11.8K. I know the stock 3120 rods cant take much more rpm on a constant bases. Why the race 3120 used a 084 rod or other rod in them.

Feedback has been great so far.

Told me last night the 3120 was used 5hrs on a bigger oak take down. Said 48" or 44" bar was used. Think he said 48" across. Didnt see if he knew DBH or not. Think he has pics because he was showing someone how to's.
