I think what you are going to find is if you get up above a 9 tooth on a stock engine you aren't going to gain much .Every engine has a torque band where they run the best . Taller  gears while in some instances can help may in fact bog the engine to the point they don't cut as well .Oh the engine will pull it but it never gets in that "sweet spot "

Of course you can compensate that by cutting the raker depths less aggressive .Might be an idea if you were racing the thing but a whole lot of fiddling around just for normal wood cutting .
