Glad I bought the partition  kit.  Anyone ever seen the impulse plastic nipple part just melt shut where it goes into the cylinder with the rubber intake boot that goes around it?

Can get pic. I have the old remove and the new installed.

That's a new one on me.  I've seen the original plastic clamp/partition setup fail, but not like that yet.  On the saws I've seen with the failure, the whole boot slides back and forth on the cylinder spigot when ya wiggle the carb.

This one did all of that plus this. New one for me too. I will save and get pic.

1st try putting that oem metal clamp on the 2150 cylinder.  My trick is my wifes idea that got the last one on after a fight with it my way. Using my vise grip locking small needle nose pliers. Works like a charm.

So I remove the ole piston to put the new one on. Now the wrist pin wants to fight. LOL really. Put in freezer and went back at it later.
On and cyl etc.

If it isnt one thing it is another. Then throttle linkage  wanted to  fight me. LOL.   Got it.  Then while talking on speaker phone to Jim, after getting it all hooked up. Duh I forgot to hook the choke up.  Time to walk away.    :P

The cursed one lives.

All the little things that kept going wrong came together today.

Also ended up using that muffler trick show in how to section. shield, tank guard, gasket, muffler all held together as one piece.  Being I used a index card and just pushed holes through, I did rip that into and had to dig the one side out. Plastic like shown in that thread would be the cats meow.  http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/ported-saws/muffler-installation-made-easy/

I used the reflector foil from a ms 660 when I put my 350 together under the muffler. Instead of buying the 346/353 muffler bracket.  Seems to work well. Just have to make sure the plastic case is clean for it to stick.
