Fighting the urge to make this a 50cc 346. Dont need another 346, butttttt  :-\

I really think I can clean up the 45mm 353 cylinder and go with meteor piston too.  Just fighting the 2 little angles on each shoulder talking in my ears.  :D :D :D

Hmmm maybe it wasnt straight gas ( I dont know the saws history).  The impulse line was pinched in a V and looks or appears to have a hole wore through it.

So clean inside it though. Looks like new internally.

This e-tech muffler is the worst breating thing I have seen on these saws.

Has a baffle with pin size holes about 3/4 way all the way across. With a tube running from front of baffle back to rear portion and up to the exhaust oulet.

I'm thinking of trying to go in and open baffle and cut the tube without splitting muffler.  :-\

Started cleaning up piston just to see.  It's not that shiney the flash got me.

Started cleaning up the cylinder.  I actually like the looks of it port wise and transfers.

My Dolmar 6000 had pine sap on it like that and I removed it all. The saw was relatively clean on the inside. It was just all sapped up on the outside. I don't think it was used much?

That 353 don't look like it was used much either - just straight gassed.

Time to wait on Jacks order. Quicker then local.

Forgot to get a drum like a dummy, the spur is wore out.

I got the cylinder pretty much done and I am going to reuse the scored piston just to see test bed. Most of it came out but you can hang your nail dragging across some of the scratches.  Inward low spots not outward high spots.
Got a new caber ring on hand.

Got the muffler open up. Drill through the baffle everywhere and pulled about 3/4 of the tube out that ran from top to baffle area. So mostly all the tube is gone but at the top where it exits now.

I didn't see anything dangerous about doing this e-tech muffler. Is this the one people call the Cat muffler = catalytic muffler?

It should have "cat" or "catalytic" stamped under the part number?
