Anyone have any info on this 365 X-Torque my dealer was telling me about? 372 XT strato with maybe a smaller bore like before?

Wasnt there to hear about this one, was checking on the others that are suppose to be coming out.

From what Bob in Ny said it's the same bore/stroke as the 372. It's supposed to be detuned with port timing. Might be real interesting.

Yep, 3.6 kW vs. 4.1, according to specs.

Was at a different husky dealer today and he hasnt heard or seen anything on the 365 XT.

He was still waiting on the 555 ?, 562xp and T540.

They are available to any dealer that wants to order them. I have 9 or 10 in stock right now.

I find it amusing that a dealer wouldn't know anything about them. Some dealers may not know their way around the retailer site. Combine that with a rep that isn't doing his job and I suppose you end up with a dealer who's in the dark on new models.

I for one am a fan of the old 365 special 65cc. The closed port ones. I really think they will be the 4 cube alky race saw of the future.

Have you compared a 365 X-Torque to a 365 SP?

Is the365XT version really a detuned 372XT with same bore and stroke?

The new 365XT does indeed outcut the original. The extra CC's are certainly part of the reason. You are correct about the 365 being a detuned version of the 372. The basic concept is the same: two models with different power and prices on the same chassis. But they took a different approach this time. As to what they actually did, I can't be the guy who spills the beans on this one. But it's only a matter of time before someone in the enthusiast community tears them both down and figures it out.

If it is a port timing thing that is easily fixed by a little grinding.

Pretty wild buy a 365xt and grind a little to have a saw that will out cut a 372xt stock for how much cheaper?

Well seeing XP beside the 365 X-TORQ caught me off guard. Right there on husky usa website 365xp.

So has anyone ran a new 365xp 70.7cc to compare to it big brother 372 x-torq 70.7cc?

The 365XT is nothing more than a slightly detuned 372. They are identical except for a "porting" difference. And no, I ain't tellin!

I can't believe that no one on any of these saw sites has discovered the secret I'm referring to here. Anybody who takes them both apart will see it right away.

Has anyone checked the port timing of both 365xt 372xt cylinders to see if they were the same?

I've tried to compare part numbers between the two IPL's and the only difference I can see is the part number of the complete P&C.

Yet the pistons have the same number. Therefore the only difference is in the cylinder itself and the decal on the starter?

So we are looking at intake ports on the cylinder?
