if i remove these will the carb need to be tuned any for the extra airflow

have never pulled a saw apart not sure if I want to take a 650.00 saw apart to experiment with

Got to get your feet wet sometime.  :D

$650 might sound like a lot to you but it is a drop in the bucket when you start tearing down and fixing 1.5K to 3K  racesaws.

Heck just having a 372 or other crankshaft stroked is close to that.  ::)

You should be able to get a tamper resistant t27 at an auto parts store, their using more and more of them on cars.

took it apart you can see the restricter on the transfer cover in pic 4 the plate is in on top off on bottom
